Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Hook 'n' Romance ("the Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. In addition, when using this Platform's particular services, you shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Hook 'n' Romance. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 18 years of age
• You have the right, authority, and capacity to enter into this agreement
• You are not prohibited by law from using our services
• You have not been convicted of any felony or indictable offense
• You are not required to register as a sex offender with any government entity

3. User Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account.

You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Platform and for any activities or actions under your password. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party.

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

Hook 'n' Romance offers three subscription tiers:

5. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Platform to:

• Harass, abuse, or harm another person
• Upload or transmit viruses or any other type of malicious code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Engage in any fraudulent activity
• Post inappropriate, offensive, or explicit content
• Solicit passwords or personal identifying information for commercial or unlawful purposes
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Content Guidelines

You retain ownership of any content you post on the Platform. However, by posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display such content in connection with the Platform.

Prohibited content includes, but is not limited to:

• Sexually explicit material
• Hate speech or discriminatory content
• Violent or graphic content
• Content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• False or misleading information
• Commercial advertisements or solicitations

7. Safety and Security

We prioritize user safety and implement various security measures. However, you acknowledge that:

• You are responsible for your interactions with other users
• We do not conduct background checks on users
• You should exercise caution and good judgment when interacting with other users
• You should never share financial information or send money to other users
• You should report any suspicious behavior immediately

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Platform or contact us to delete your account.

10. Matchmaking Services

Our matchmaking services are available exclusively to Gold members. By requesting matchmaking services:

• You agree to pay the ₦10,000 service fee
• You provide accurate and complete information about your preferences
• You understand that we cannot guarantee specific results
• You agree to participate in good faith in the matchmaking process
• You acknowledge that fees for matchmaking services are non-refundable

11. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Hook 'n' Romance, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Platform
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Platform
• Any content obtained from the Platform
• Unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content

12. Disclaimers

Your use of the Platform is at your sole risk. The Platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Platform is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or course of performance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Platform after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
